A Stringent Recruitment Process

Before joining the AMA Medicals panel, all applicants undergo a comprehensive onboarding and vetting process.

Experts are required to submit evidence of qualifications, professional registration, and current medical indemnity insurance. Those seeking to undertake expert witness work are additionally assessed for their understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR Part 35) and their practical experience in medico-legal reporting.

Only those who meet our exacting standards are approved to join our national panel.

Ongoing Due Diligence

Once accepted, every panel member is subject to continuous monitoring and quality review.

Monthly fitness-to-practise checks are carried out through the GMC decisions circular (or the relevant regulatory body).

Experts are required to provide updated CVs and proof of insurance annually.

Regular clinical and quality audits are conducted to ensure that every report meets the highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and clinical integrity.
